I have always been drawing, on pretty much anything I find. Friends used to go home covered in felt tip pen marks. The promenade I grew up next to always had a chalk drawing from me. I engrave glass. I paint on anything and I create at will my own little master pieces. 25 years later I still enjoy art but I had run out of different mediums and canvases. So tattooing people seemed like the next thing on the agenda.
I spent a few years hanging around tattoo shops until I realised this although gaining knowledge was not getting me anywhere! But I found a wonderful man called Howie who taught me everything he had learnt in 50 years and gave me a certificate after I had tattooed himself and my best friend Steph. (who actually isn't a tattoo girl and was quite happy with her one tattoo but had another so I could pass! Thank you Steph!)
I have a private studio as I think people appreciate the privacy which is needed when you don't want anyone to walk in on your tattoo. I feel this helps add to the calm atmosphere. I Tattoo my self as well as other people and feel I have learnt a lot by doing this! No one ever stops learning and I have some fantastic companions who in my eyes are fantastic artists! We all have a different style and get ideas off each other and helpful tips!
